We will celebrate Holy Eucharist and the Signing with Ashes at 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the church. A Liturgy of the Word and Distribution of Ashes will occur at 12:10 p.m. in the church. Please remember that Ash Wednesday is not a holy day of obligation but is a day of abstinence (no meat) and fasting (one full meal and two small meals).

Are you interested in learning how to make authentic Czech kolaches for this year's Czech Dinner? If so, join us for one of our next kolache bake session in the parish hall kitchen from 1-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

Our annual Czech Sausage Dinner is just around the corner and we need many of our parishioners to volunteer to assist with preparing, serving, and cleaning up after the meal. Several sign-up sheets will be available online (click on "Czech Sausage Dinner" above) and in the narthex after our Masses for the next few weekends. Please take a few moments to look at these and add your name to one or more of them. Thanks for your help!

Join us for our Lenten Fish Fry scheduled for Friday, March 24. Fish fry meals are $15 for adults and $6 for children ages 5-12. Children under 5 eat free!

Join us for an evening with St. Ann's Pastoral Council member Glenn Backus to learn about Project Fishery, a St. Ann's food pantry, on Wednesday, February 15. The presentation will be in the parish hall beginning at 6:30 with refreshments afterwards.

St. Mary's will host a Day of Reconciliation on Wednesday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Multilingual priests from around the diocese are available throughout the day.

We are using an offering envelope routine that helps us more easily add new parishioners to our stewardship database, as well as make it more convenient for you, our treasured stewards. Instead of receiving a box of offering envelopes handed out at the beginning of the year, you will receive your envelopes in the mail every two months. This regular mailing system has been shown to be more effective in parishes to more regularly remind us of the expectation and grace of tithing to the faith community. If you are not currently receiving envelopes and would like to, or would like to stop receiving envelopes, please email Stefani Wilhelm at parish@stannsofcanyon.org and she will get you on or take you off the mailing list. Exodus90 is a men's small group that meets weekly for the purpose of spiritual growth. The program focuses on prayer, fraternity, and asceticism, and is designed to help men move out of spiritual mediocrity into a more rich life with God. There will be an informational meeting at the parish hall on Saturday, January 7, at 8 a.m. in the Adult Education Room.

The next Reborn Baptism preparation session is scheduled for Tuesday, January 31, at 7 p.m. in the parish hall. You must pre-register for this class to ensure your spot! This session is for those who are planning to have a son or daughter baptized in the next few months and those who have been invited to serve as a godparent. To do our part to keep folks at home during the dangerous cold on Thursday, our parish office will be closed and our staff will be working from home. We apologize that again we have to postpone our Spiritual Book Club discussion on our current book, Spiritual Practices for the Brain by Anne Kertz Kernion. The busy Advent season has required some jostling on the parish calendar. Stay tuned as we look for a good date in the new year.

St. Nicholas will be visiting our Faith Formation classes when we return from the Thanksgiving Break on Sunday, December 4! He will go around to all the classrooms, say hello, and put candy in the students' shoes. So, be sure to have your students wear easily removable shoes that day. Happy Feast of St. Nicholas (Tuesday, December 6!)

The West Texas Catholic will be changing to a digital version of the newspaper in January. Newspapers will not be mailed out in January, but a limited number will be available at the parish. If there is a shut-in who needs the paper, please contact the Development Office at the diocese at 806-383-2243.

Our Thanksgiving Day Mass will be at 9 a.m. on Thursday, November 24. Parishioners are encouraged to bring a food item (bread, bottle of wine, or pie, ...) to be blessed that they will then share with their families.
