• The Sacred Triduum
    We will celebrate the three most sacred days of the liturgical year this week with the Mass of the Lord's Supper (with the washing of feet) at 7 p.m. on Holy Thursday, followed by a Night Watch before the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel until 10 p.m.; Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m. on Good Friday and the Solemn Celebration of the Lord's Passion (with veneration of the cross) at 7 p.m. on Good Friday; and the Great Vigil of Easter (with the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist at 8:30 p.m. on Holy Saturday. Our celebrations of the Eucharist on Easter Sunday will be at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

  • Good Friday Fast and Abstinence Reminder
    Good Friday is a day of fasting (one full meal, two smaller meals that combined to not equal the full meal, no eating between meals) for Catholics ages 18-59 and a day of abstinence from meat for all Catholics ages 14 and older.

  • Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord
    Tomorrow (Monday, March 25), we celebrate the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, when the angel Gabriel visited Mary and told her that God wanted her to be the mother of God's son. When she uttered her fiat ("be it done") or her "yes" to God's will, the Word of God began to take flesh in her womb, making it the first moment of the Incarnation (which we fittingly celebrate nine months prior to Christmas). We will celebrate the Eucharist on this special feast day at 12:15 p.m. and Adoration will begin at 1 p.m.

    The holy season of Lent begins this Wednesday (March 6). We will celebrate a Liturgy of the Word and the Signing with Ashes at 7 a.m. in the church. Celebrations of the Holy Eucharist and the Signing with Ashes will be at 12:15 and 6 p.m. in the church. Please remember that Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting (one full meal and two small meals) and abstinence (no meat).

  • New Weekend Mass Schedule Begins February 2 & 3
    OOur new weekend Mass schedule will take effect next weekend (February 2 & 3). The new Mass times are:  Saturday evening at 6 p.m., Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Faith Formation classes will meet on Sunday mornings from 10:20-11:15 a.m. RCIA will meet on Sundays beginning at 12:45 p.m. Sacrament of Penance:  the weekly schedule in each Sunday bulletin will list the day and time this opportunity will be offered each week.     Our Mass for this feast day and holyday of obligation will be celebrated on Friday evening (December 7) at 6 p.m. The obligation for this particular feast still exists, even though the holyday is on a Saturday, because Mary, under the title of the Immaculate Conception, is the patron saint of our country. Please make plans to attend the vigil Mass.
