Many thanks to everyone who helped to make this year's Czech Sausage Dinner a big success! Special thanks to Sarah Dawes for her tirelss leadership as chair of the event and to all of the committee charis for the time and energy you devoted to your areas of responsibility! Thanks, too, to everyone who volunteered before, during, or after the dinner. While as of this writing all numbers are still being finalized, it appears that we served almost 1,300 meals and will have yielded a profit of about $13,000.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make our Czech Sausage Dinner such a great success! We served more than 1,300 meals! Special thanks to Sarah and Nathan Dawes for chairing this year's event -- and to Anita Fischbacher and Mary Bowling for their sage wisdom and advice -- as well as to all the committee chairs! Thanks to Ron Kershen for driving down to West to pick up the sausage and kolaches. And thanks to all of the volunteers who helped clean the kitchen and hall before the event, set up for the dinner, cook, serve, take and count money, clean up after the meal, and do all of the other jobs associated with this event! The young people of our parish were especially evident as helpers during the meal and that is much appreciated! A dinner like this requires a true community spirit in which everyone pitches in, and that is definitely what we experienced last weekend!
