St. Ann's teens have been serving the homeless in downtown Amarillo during our CCD hour this spring. Our youth group will continue to do this on Wednesday afternoons this summer from 4-5:30 p.m. In order for this to be possible, we need drivers! All graduating high school seniors are invited to participate as we celebrate their graduation at the Baccalaureate Mass on Sunday, May 21, at the 9 a.m. Mass. The next Reborn session is scheduled for Tuesday, May 30, at 7 p.m. in the parish hall. Totus Tuus is a Catholic summer catechetical program for incoming 1st graders through incoming 12th graders that will take place Sunday, June 25-Friday, June 30, at St. Ann's this summer! Many volunteers are needed and registration forms with details are in the narthex. Contact Adrian Johnson to volunteer and with any questions. Don't miss this great program!

St. Ann's Youth attend many retreats and conference throughout the year and our desire is to offer these events to our students as inexpensively as possible. Fundraisers are critical to making this happen. For the next few weeks, our youth will be selling Catholic t-shirts to help fund our events. Please see our table in the narthex to place your order.

Our guest speaker, Monica Sullivan, has worked in the nonprofit community for six years, and is currently working at Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle. She comes with experience in crisis pregnancy and is empathetic to those in need. She was once on the other side of the table, so she can relate to those in need. When Monica isn't working, she is a wife and mother of three beautiful daughters. They are her drive.

Divine Mercy Sunday is April 16, 2023. This is a wonderful time for conversion, inviting others to return to the Church, and growing closer to Christ's merciful heart on this feast. Please note the following opportunities at St. Ann's to celebrate this feast and receive the special plenary indulgence decreed by the Church: Extra Confession hours: Saturday, April 15, from 3-4:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 22, 3-4:30 p.m. Please note that Confession for the indulgence may occur twenty days before or after the Feast of Divine Mercy. Praying the Our Father, Apostles' Creed, and a special Hail Mary for the Pope after all the weekend Masses of April 15-16. Encouragement of all to practice works of mercy and charity, especially inviting inactive Catholics back to the practice of their faith. The spiritual and corporal works of mercy are: Feed the hungry; Instruct the ignorant; Give drink to the thirsty; Pray for the living and the dead; Shelter the homeless; Comfort the sorrowful; Visit the imprisoned; Bear wrongs patiently; Care for the sick; Counsel the doubtful; Bury the dead; Admonish the sinner; Clothe the naked; Forgive offenses. In addition, we will have Divine Mercy materials such as holy cards and the Divine Mercy Novena available in the narthex, place an image of Divine Mercy in the sanctuary for this feast, and gather at St. Ann's at 3 p.m. that Sunday to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

Due to the rainy weather this morning, the Easter Egg Hung has been postponed until next Sunday, April 16, after the 11:30 a.m. Mass.

Bishop Zurek will come to confer the Sacrament of Confirmation on our young people on Sunday, April 23, at the 11:30 a.m. Mass! The confirmandi and their families are invited to a reception in the parish hall after Mass. Please pray for the confirmandi as they prepare to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit! (Confirmandi should meet in the Faith Formation class at 10:15 a.m. and parents and sponsors must be at the church no later than 10:45 a.m.)

Our Catholic Parenting Class is staring up on Sunday, April 2! Don't miss this great opportunity to connect with other Catholic parents and learn how to teach your children about morality! This class meets on Sunday mornings in the Blessed Sacrament chapel for 6 weeks in April and May during the Faith Formation hour (10:15-11:15 a.m.). Childcare is available in the nursery!

On Sunday, April 2, our high school students will be joining St. Mary's high school group at the Cathedral for a night of learning, food, and fellowship together. Students may either meet us at the Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. or meet our group at St. Ann's at 5 p.m. and returning by 8 p.m. Please RSVP if your student will be needing a ride by texting the youth phone at (806) 726-7758.

The DCYC Youth Conference will take place at the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday-Saturday, April 28-29. Cost is $45 per students and the registration deadline is Friday, March 31.
