Faith Formation 2020-2021
To ensure the safety and well-being of the Catholic faithful during this pandemic, the Diocese of Amarillo has recommended certain protocols that St. Ann's will be following. Faith Formation for all ages will begin on Sunday, October 4. Online registration will open on Tuesday, September 1. All classes/groups meeting at the church will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Please contact Adrian Johson, DRE, with any questions.
Faith Formation (K-8)In order to follow COVID-19 protocols, St. Ann's Faith Formation curriculum will be a family catechesis program led by parents at home called A Family of Faith from Sophia Institute. The Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us that "the home is the first school of Christian life and 'a school for human enrichment.'" This year, families have an opportunity to live out what the Church tells us! Each household will receive a parent guide book and one children's activity book per child. A support video for parents will also be sent out monthly. Fees and details will be communicated once registration is opened on Tuesday, September 1. Online and physical registration forms will be available. Full details, an overview of the program, and support for the first faith lesson will be given at the Faith Formation Orientation Meeting on Sunday, October 4 from 2-4 p.m. Special circumstances related to households and COVID will be handled on a case-by-case basis--please contact Adrian Johnson, DRE.
