Do you love the Catholic faith and want to help those who have stopped practicing their faith to come back? St. Ann's is starting a new ministry, Landings, to reach out and invite Catholics who have drifted away from the Church to return home. A welcome team is needed to begin the ministry. There will be a training for all team members at the beginning of September and the program will begin around the first of November. Are or someone you know interested in learning more abut the Catholic faith? Most people who join RCIA do so because of someone evangelizing and inviting them! Remember to share your faith and invite your friends, coworkers, etc. to come experience our dynamic RCIA this coming school year! Totus Tuus 2022 will be from Sunday, July 10, through Friday, July 15. Registration forms will be available in the narthex or on the parish website (on the Children's Faith Formation webpage). Registration will close on Sunday, July 3. Totus Tuus is available for all incoming students in grades 1-12 free of charge. Host family for the 2 guy missionaries 2 day volunteers for classroom monitors from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. 2 evening volunteers for classroom monitors from 7-9:30 p.m 1 lunch distributor per day from noon-1 p.m. Snack Prep volunteers from 9:45-10:15 a.m. OR 1:45-2:15 p.m. Provide snacks for the evening sessions (Cheez-Its, fruit, chips, etc.)

Anyone who currently works with or plans to work with children or youth and is not certified must attend a Safe Environment Training session. Our next session is Saturday, June 4, at 9 a.m. in the Adult Education Room. The certification lasts 5 years. Season's Greetings! There will be no Faith Formation or RCIA for children and adults this weekend and for the next two weekends due to the upcoming holydays. Classes for all ages will resume on Sunday, January 9. We wish everyone in our parish family a very blessed and holy celebration of our Lord's nativity, a Happy New Year, and wonderful feast of the Solemnity of Mary!

A popular country song opens with the words: "Daddy ain't a bank, Mama ain't a shrink, and God's not a wishin' well." Your pastor might add, "And your priest ain't a sacrament machine!" No matter your life's work and vocation, the longing for fulfillment and purpose flows deeper than one's duties and responsibilities. On Wednesday, November 17, a local priest, Fr. Shane Wieck, will share some of the personal joy and fulfillment he experiences in his life as a priest. His stories of discovering meaning and grace in challenging circumstances and unexpected places can help you do the same.

Our parish family extends our prayers to the catechumens and candidates in our RCIA who will go through the Rite of Acceptance and Welcoming on Sunday, November 14, at the 9 a.m. Mass!

Come and enjoy some time in the Atrium on Tuesday, November 9, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and experience the treasures offered to our children. The Atrium will be located in the southeast corner of the parish hall. Kendra Backus will explain how the Atrium works and give a couple of presentations. October is Safe Environment Month, so as is customary at St. Ann's all children and youth in our Faith Formation and Youth programs will be Safe Environment trained. This training teaches our young people that they should always feel safe and comfortable, especially at church events. Parents, be sure to bring your students to Faith Formation classes on Sunday, October 17, so they can received the training in their Faith Formation classes, and St. Ann's can do its part to ensure the safety of our beloved children. It is also recommended that parents have open conversations at home with their children about appropriate behavior to create the safest environment for Jesus' young disciples! Thank you!!

All parents of students who are preparing to receive First Communion or Confirmation are required to attend the Sacramental Preparation Meeting on Wednesday, October 6, at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will give an overview of the First Communion and Confirmation programs and all their requirements as well as supplemental materials for parents to go through at home with their students. Our small groups will be starting back up next week, September 19-25. If you are already part of a group, your leader will contact you soon. If you are not part of a group, we will have some brand new groups starting up. Be on the lookout for sign-up sheets in the Narthex. This year at St. Ann's, guest speakers will come as part of our Adult Faith Formation. Our first speaker, David Walker, will present "When East Meets West," a discussion on the Eastern Rites of the Catholic Church, on Wednesday, September 29, at 6:45 p.m. in the church. Refreshments will be served outside the parish offices from 6:30-6:45 p.m.

There will be a Small Group Leaders meeting on Sunday, August 22, at 10:15 a.m. in the Adult Education Room.

Core Members are the heart and soul of the youth ministry experience. You don't have to be an expert on Scripture and you don't need to have a theology degree. Your responsibility is to love teens and show them that God loves them. We need 8 more adults to fill out our team.
