dults, it belongs to us to learn and know our faith in order to share it, teach it, and live it. While limited space will limit our options this first part of the school year, we are pleased to announce the following opportunities for adult catechesis:
Bible Basics for Catholics with Deacon Joe Roder: both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings (pick one). Mirroring what our youth will be studying this fall, Catholics need to better understand and know our Bible. After all, it's our Church that gathered the many inspired books into one foundational text. We allow way too many other churches and individual interpreters of Sacred Scripture to influence our thoughts and actions. Come and learn the Catholic approach!
A Catholic Pilgrimage through American History with Fr. Scott: Sunday mornings between the Masses. "We learn from history that we learn nothing from history." This quote reminds us that we are formed by our past and have the opportunity to change the future for the better by our knowledge. Catholics in the U.S. have weathered the storms of poverty and religious prejudice to become a crucial part of American culture. Let's learn more about the people and places that have shaped the Church in the U.S.
Registration begins Saturday, August 3. Classes begin Sunday, August 25.
