Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is a program established for non-Catholics who are interested in learning about the Catholic faith and who would like to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church. This program addresses the fundamental teachings of the Church and culminates with entering the Catholic Church either by baptism or by Profession of Faith for those who are already validly baptized.
Beginning OCIA is not a commitment to become Catholic. It is simply an opportunity to learn more about the Catholic faith, ask questions, and explore what the Church teaches in a welcoming and pressure-free environment. Our OCIA team has intentionally structured the journey with several opportunities for personal conversation and discernment along the way. At these points, team members will meet with you one-on-one to discuss your experience, answer questions, and help you discern whether you would like to continue learning. You are welcome to explore at your own pace as you prayerfully consider where God may be leading you.
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming Catholic, please fill out the form below or contact our OCIA Team (Criss Murdoch, Dcn. Kevin Rickwartz, Bridget Johnson) to learn more about the Catholic Church and becoming Catholic.
