All intermediate school, junior high school, and high school students are invited to join us this Wednesday at 6 p.m. for Mass, followed by a meal catered by Chop Chop. After the meal, high school students will have a "hot button topics" discussion about the Church and same-sex marriages, while middle school students have a discussion about hopes and fears associated with the transition to junior high or high school. All faith formation teachers are asked to meet with our new Director of Religious Education, Collin Backus, this Thursday evening (Jan. 26) at 7 p.m. in Meeting Room C.
Next weekend (January 28-29) marks the beginning of Catholic Schools Week in our country. All parishioners who attend one of the Catholic schools in our diocese are invited to wear the school uniform to Mass next weekend.

All intermediate school, junior high school, and high school students are invited to join us this Wednesday, January 18, at 6 p.m. for Mass, followed by a meal prepared and served by St. Gianna's Circle. High school students will then have a session on questions that Catholics are commonly asked by non-Catholics about our faith. Intermediated and middle school students will explore our "Epic Universe," examining creation and the vastness of the universe that God has fashioned. See you there!
Classes for teens preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation this spring will begin on Sunday, February 12 at 6:30 p.m. Confirmation candidates must have been regularly attending faith formation classes for the past two years and must be in at least the seventh grade. The date for Confirmation this year is Saturday, May 6 at the 5 p.m. Mass.
Monday marked the end of the liturgical Christmas season. This evening (Tuesday) at 6 p.m. we need some help taking down and storing all of the Christmas decorations in the church (except for the Nativity scene, which will remain in place through the Feast of the Presentation of The Lord on February 2). Please join us as we return our worship space to "ordinary time mode." Thank you in advance for your help!
All intermediate school, junior high school, and high school students are invited to join us this Wednesday at 6 p.m. for a free night of roller skating at Skate Plex (9721 S. Coulter, just southwest of the Cinemark Hollywood 16 movie theatre). Free pizza and drinks will be served. The evening will end at 8 p.m. Parents should pick students up at Skate Plex at that time. If you want to attend, but need a ride, call Erica or the parish office (655-3302) by Tuesday night. See you there!
All dads and their daughters are invited to join us in the parish hall on Saturday, January 28, for a Sock Hop. Dinner (catered by Aramark) will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by dancing until 10 p.m. Music will be provided by The Moonlighting DJ. Tickets are $20 per father/daughter couple and $3 for each additional daughter. A free 5 x 7 inch photo of your evening together will be provided. Tickets are available from Becky Lopez after the weekend Masses, or from the parish office. Advance purchase of tickets is preferred so we have an accurate count for the meal.
Our first planning meeting for this year's Czech Sausage Festival will be on Thursday, January 12 at 7 p.m. in Meeting Room C. All committee chairs are asked to attend, as well as any other parishioners who are interested in helping to plan the event.
Our Wednesday evening gatherings for intermediate school, junior high school, and high school students resume this Wednesday (January 4). We will celebrate the Eucharist together at 6 p.m. in the church, followed by a meal provided by Chicken Express. A Christmas/Epiphany party will conclude the evening. See you there!
