Students in 2nd grade preparing for the First Communions this year are required to attend a First Communion workshop with their parents on Sunday, February 5, from 3-4:30 p.m. OR Sunday, February 12, from 3-4:30 p.m. Fr. Scott will give a short talk on the Eucharist and then the students will go with their catechists while parents receive packets and instructions to prepare their students for First Communion. First Reconciliation for students preparing for First Communion is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, at 2 p.m. and Saturday, December 10, at 2 p.m. Make sure you've signed up your child for a time slot. Please contact Adrian Johnson at the parish office (806-655-3302) or at [email protected].
Students preparing to receive First Communion in the spring AND their parents must come to a mandatory First Reconciliation workshop to receive supplemental materials for teaching their children about the Sacrament of Reconciliation. There will be two options for the workshop: Sunday, September 25 from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. OR Sunday, October 2 from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. To sign up, email or call Adrian Johnson at [email protected] or 806.655.3302 by September 21.

All parents of students who are preparing to receive First Communion or Confirmation are required to attend the Sacramental Preparation Meeting on Wednesday, October 6, at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will give an overview of the First Communion and Confirmation programs and all their requirements as well as supplemental materials for parents to go through at home with their students. The First Communion Mass is scheduled for Saturday, May 22, at 2 p.m. First Communicants need to be at the church at 1 p.m. for a short practice. Pictures will take place afterwards. Please pray for our First Communicants as they approach the reception of the most Blessed Sacrament!

Students preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation (8th grade) this year are required to attend our upcoming Confirmation Workshop on Sunday, January 17, at 2 p.m. OR on Sunday, January 24 at 2 p.m. with their parents. Sponsors are not required to attend this workshop. Childcare will be offered at both workshops. If you have a students who needs one of the these sacraments, but have not received an email or phone call from Adrian Johnson, our Director of Religious Education, please contact the parish office at 806-655-3302.
On Saturday, 24 students from our parish celebrated their First Holy Communion. We congratulate them and invite all parishioners to pray that our First Communicants will continue to grow in love for Jesus as they receive Him in the Eucharist.
First Reconciliation for students preparing to receive First Communion has been rescheduled for June 9, 10, and 11 at 6:30 p.m. A sign up link has been sent out via email. If you have not received it, please contanct Adrian Johnson at [email protected]. First Communion has been rescheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, for First Communicants and their families only. Limit is 10 people per child (including the child).
