Our annual summer parish picnic and pool party is scheduled for the evening of Sunday, July 28. Hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, condiments, and chips will be provided by the parish.
Please welcome to our parish the team of young adults who will be directing this week's Totus Tuus program for students entering grades 1-12. The members this year are Quade Salazar, Joe Villeda, Regina Phillips and Laci Backus. Please keep them in your prayers throughout the week ahead. Please also pray for the young people of our parish this week as they participate in this five-day program of evangelization and catechesis! The program for students entering grades 1-5 begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. n Monday through Friday. Students should bring a sack lunch every day (except Friday, when we will have a pizza party). On Friday, students should wear clothes that they can get wet. Please be prompt in dropping off and picking up students each day. The program for students entering grades 6-12 begins at 7 p.m. (except on Wednesday, when we will begin with a meal at 6:30 p.m.) and ends at 9:15 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday.
This year's I ♥ Canyon Festival is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7. A supplies list is located on the glass table in the narthex or in the parish office. Please bring your supplies no later than Sunday, August 4.
The parish extends its warmest wishes to all fathers in our parish as we celebrate Fathers' Day. Thank you for your faithful service to your families and, after the example of St. Joseph, your willingness to do whatever God asks of you in this important vocation! May God bless you and those for whom you you are privileged to care!
It's a little late, but not too late, to register for next week's Totus Tuus program. Students entering grades 1-5 will meet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Students entering grades 6-12 will meet from 7 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday evenings. Registration forms are available in the parish office. We also still need some adult volunteers to serve as classroom assistants and lunch/snack assistants during the morning and afternoon sessions of Totus Tuus. Sign up sheets for volunteers are on the glass table in the narthex.
Since Totus Tuus begins this coming Sunday night and meets each evening of next week, no youth activities have been scheduled for this week. We hope you enjoy this brief break before we dive into Totus Tuus next week!
Fr. Taylor Elzner, our parish's former youth director, was ordained to the priesthood this past weekend at St. Mary's Cathedral in Amarillo. This Sunday, June 9, Fr. Students who have just completed grades 5-11 are invited to join us for a night of Bingo (with great prizes!). We will meet on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for hot dogs and chips, followed by Bingo until 8 p.m. You might just be lucky enough to walk away with some awesome prizes! See you there!
