Do you want to help with RCIA but have little time and don't want to commit? One way to help is to sign up to bring a snack on a Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and spend a few minutes getting to know the class! You could share your testimony, a ministry you are involved in, or just why you love being Catholic! Just a few minutes of your time, one time is all, and the snacks don't have to be fancy. Come meet the people seeking to join us! There is a sign up sheet in the narthex.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a rite of the Catholic Church for unbaptized persons, baptized persons from another Christian tradition, or for baptized Catholics who were never catechized who wish to become Catholic through receiving Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. If you are someone who fits this or a similar description, we invite you to come to one of our "Come and See" nights to learn more about becoming a Catholic Christian or completing the Sacraments of Initiation! Join us this Wednesday, August 30, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in Meeting Room B for the last "Come and See Night" before we begin our RCIA sessions!

Our parish family extends our prayers to the catechumens and candidates in our RCIA who will go through the Rite of Acceptance and Welcoming on Sunday, November 14, at the 9 a.m. Mass!

Do you know someone who is interested in joining the Catholic Church? Have you invited them to attend RCIA? Most people who join RCIA and become Catholic do so because they received an invitation from a friend, coworker, colleague, etc., who is a faithful parishioner at St. Ann's! So, don't hesitate to extend a charitable invitation to anyone you know is seeking to live in the fullness of the truth! There will be a "Come and See" session on Sunday, August 29, at 2 p.m. for anyone who is interested in exploring the Catholic faith. Anyone who plans on attending should contact Adrian Johnson at 655-3302 or [email protected].

Everyone is invited to join our RCIA Candidates and Catechumens for a "teaching Mass" on Sunday, January 31, at 5 p.m. This will be the actual Mass for that Sunday, the Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time, albeit in a teaching style. What you don't know about the Mass might be the one thing that's keeping you from being blessed by its grace and riches. This Mass will also be livestreamed on our website. Come and grow in your appreciation of the Mass!
Due to the inclement weather, the following activities have been cancelled: RCIA, Safe Environment Make-Up Training for High School, Teaching Mass (will be rescheduled), and Youth Night. We will still have our normal Masses at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. If you do not feel you can safely make it, you can watch last night's recorded Mass at the following link: https://youtu.be/suOGEc1kOJ8
Faith Formation Registration is open online on our parish website, stannsofcanyon.org, under the ECOMMUNITY tab. Forms will also be available for download on the parish website and a paper form will be available on the glass table in the narthex. In-person registration will be available after all Masses starting September 19 and 20. For questions, please contact our Director of Religious Education, Adrian Johnson, or our Youth Director, Joshua Dutchover in the parish office.
A team of parish staff and catechists will be gathering this Tuesday evening to discuss plans for Christian Formation for children, teens and adults, including RCIA and youth ministry. Our diocese has already sent out a notice that classes are not to begin before October due to the COVID situation. Hopefully, we will come up with several options that will help us all grow in faith while staying safe. Stay tuned for more details.
Tough times can bring out the best in us. The next two weekends' Masses will have us hear from recent converts and full communicants with the Catholic Church. Their witness and stories can serve to remind us to deepen our own relationship with Christ and His Church as well as be more diligent about inviting others to find their spiritual joy among us by coming to learn more in the Inquiry stage of the RCIA process beginning soon at St. Ann's. More RCIA information can be found in the bulletin the next few weeks. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming Catholic, please contact Adrian Johnson to learn more about the Catholic Church and becoming Catholic!
The catechumens and candidates in St. Ann's RCIA will be joining the Catholic Church on Saturday, May 30, at the 5 p.m. Mass. God, please continue to sustain and be with the catechumens and candidates as their journey finally leads them into Your fold. May they always follow your will and draw upon the grace you will give them in the sacraments of initiation to lead them to life everlasting! Amen.
St. Ann's has a parish subscription to FORMED. You can sign up for Formed by going to formed.org/signup on your PC or laptop and entering "St. Ann's Catholic Church" into the search bar. Please click on the article title to connect to the FORMED sign up page.
Please pray for the catechumens and candidates who will go through the Rite of Election and the Call to Continuing Conversion on Sunday, March 1, at St. Mary's Cathedral, and then enter into a Period of Enlightenment and Purification state of RCIA. May the Lord guide their steps and fill their hearts as they enter this final stage before being received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil liturgy!
There will be no faith formation classes (pre-K through adult) or RCIA classes on the following Sundays: December 22, December 29, and January 5. Classes resume on Sunday, January 12.
