Our parish will host a blood drive for the Coffee Memorial Blood Center this Thursday (Nov. 9) from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the parish hall. Please consider giving the gift of life by donating blood.
All parishioners who have joined our community in the last year are invited to a reception welcoming you to our parish during coffee and donuts on Sunday, November 19. We will have nametags available for all parishioners so that we can get to know each other better! Please make plans to join us!
The Ladies of St. Ann's will once again sponsor their annual bazaar in conjunction with the Canyon Merchants' Holiday Open House on Saturday, November 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Blake Construction Building on the square.
Please join us this evening (Sunday, October 29) at 7 p.m. in the church for an ecumenical Choral Evensong commemorating the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Reformation movement in Europe. We will be joined by pastors from other churches here in Canyon and the choir for this service will include representatives from other churches in Canyon as well.

This Wednesday, November 1, is the Solemnity of All Saints, a holyday of obligation for all Catholics. Masses will be celebrated here at St. Ann's at 12:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the church.
Sunday mornings at 10:05 a.m. in the adult education classroom for high school students and adults. This week's topic in Fr. Busch's "Questions of Faith" class is Can non-Christians be saved?" Next week (Nov. 19), we will discuss "What happens to us after we die?"
Beginning on All Souls' Day and continuing throughout the month of November, our parish's Book of the Names of the Dead will be displayed near the baptismal font in the church. You are invited to inscribe in this book the names of all family members who have died during this past year or whose names have not previously been written in the book. We will pray for all of the faithful departed, including all those whose names are contained in this book, at each of our Masses during the month of November.
This Thursday, November 2, is All Souls' Day, when Catholics traditionally remember and pray for all of the faithful departed. We will celebrate the Holy Eucharist in the church at 6 p.m. on Thursday evening.
A group from several Canyon churches will be meeting on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at Burrowing Owl Books (located on the Square in Canyon) to discuss Franciscan Fr. Richard Rohr's latest book, "The Divine Dance: The Trinity and Your Transformation."
There will be no Mass this Wednesday evening because of the diocesan priests' retreat. All students in grades 5-12 are invited to join us for a meal featuring King Ranch Chicken Casserole, prepared for us by members of the Circle of the Holy Spirit at 6:30 p.m. After supper, we will play "Saints Jeopardy" as we get ready for next week's celebration of All Saints' Day. After Mass, we will enjoy baked spaghetti and salad, prepared by the members of St. Therese Circle. After our meal, intermediate/middle school students will discuss how to live the virtues of faith, hope, and charity, while high school students examine men and women of the Bible. See you there!
The youth of our parish will be hosting our annual Halloween Carnival on for children in 4th grade and younger on Saturday, October 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall. There will be a costume contest, carnival games, a cake walk, and lots of other fun activities. The evening is entirely free. We hope to see you there!
