Please join the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Relief Services, Aid to the Church in Need, and CNEWA (Catholics Near East Welfare Association) on Sunday, November 26, the Solemnity of Christ the King, for a Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians. The Day of Prayers also initiates "Solidarity in Suffering," a Week of Awareness and Education that runs from November 26-December 3. This week's topic in Fr. Busch's "Question of Faith" class is "Does praying for ourselves and/or others really make any difference?" Next Sunday's topic will be "How is Christ present in the Eucharist?" Join us on Sunday mornings from 10:05 to 10:55 a.m.
AAll students in grades 5-12 are invited to join us this Wednesday (Dec. 6) for pizza and the movie "Elf," beginning at 6 p.m. in the parish hall. There will be no Mass this Wednesday evening. See you there!
St. Therese Circle will be organizing our parish's Angel Tree again this year. Angels will be distributed after Masses the weekend of December 2 & 3. All gifts must be returned by Sunday, December 17. We anticipate having a large number of children who will need gifts this Christmas, so please make plans to support this project.
The Saints Anne and Joachim Circle will once again provide Thanksgiving baskets to families in need. The baskets will include a turkey and all of the fixings. If you would like a basket, or know of a family/person that needs one, please call Debbie at the parish office (655-3302, ext. 0) as soon as possible.
There will be no Faith Formation classes this Sunday, November 26, because of the Thanksgiving break. Classes will resume at the normal time next Sunday (December 3).
On behalf of the entire parish, thanks to everyone who helped make this year's FallBack Festival such an enjoyable evening! Special thanks to Becky and Martin Lopez for chairing this year's event, as well as to all of the other committee chairs and everyone who participated by purchasing and/or selling tickets, donating and/or bidding on auction items, preparing food, decorating the hall, cleaning up after the event (or any other task not mentioned here!!!).
