Our Catholic Parenting Class is staring up on Sunday, April 2! Don't miss this great opportunity to connect with other Catholic parents and learn how to teach your children about morality! This class meets on Sunday mornings in the Blessed Sacrament chapel for 6 weeks in April and May during the Faith Formation hour (10:15-11:15 a.m.). Childcare is available in the nursery!
On Sunday, April 2, our high school students will be joining St. Mary's high school group at the Cathedral for a night of learning, food, and fellowship together. Students may either meet us at the Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. or meet our group at St. Ann's at 5 p.m. and returning by 8 p.m. Please RSVP if your student will be needing a ride by texting the youth phone at (806) 726-7758.
The DCYC Youth Conference will take place at the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday-Saturday, April 28-29. Cost is $45 per students and the registration deadline is Friday, March 31. Our next Spiritual Book Club book is Life of the Beloved by Henri Nowen. Please read the book in its entirety and join us for its discussion on Thursday, March 30, at 7 p.m. in the Adult Education Room. Please purchase your own book, but if you can't, we have a few copies in the parish office.
Our guest speaker, Stacy Wilhelm, will speak on Internal vs. External Motivation: Parenting Edition! Raising 3.0 Kids in a 2.0 World. Join us on Wednesday, March 29, at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments, followed by Stacy's presentation at 7 p.m. Stacy Wilhelm is a successful author, mother of 3, wife of one, and teacher of many. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's in Journalism and now writes novels and teaches at Holy Cross Catholic Academy. Stacy is also a #1 best-selling author who writes as Staci Stallings.
St. Ann's will be hosting a gathering for all you within our diocese on Saturday, March 18, from 3-8 p.m. The gathering includes praise and worship music, games, fellowship, Mass, and a hamburger cookout. Cost is $5 per student. Students can RSVP by texting (806) 726-7758.
Are you interested in singing with the choir at any Holy Week services? Any 14 years of age or older is welcome to join, and those 13 years of age and younger may attend if accompanied by a parent or older sibling. We will practice for the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday on Thursday, March 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the church, concluding with a run through of all the Holy Week music plans. The next Baptism preparation session is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in the parish hall. You must pre-register for this class to ensure your spot! This session is for those who are planning to have a son or daughter baptized in the next few months and those who have been invited to serve as a godparent.
