If you have been asked to be a Confirmation sponsor, either at St. Ann's or another parish, you will need an approval letter from Fr. ​Scott. Please come to one of the brief meetings after all Masses on Feb. 22 & 23.

St. Ann's is offering a 10 hour catechesis class for adults who have already received the Eucharist but have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation. The first Confirmation II Workshop is scheduled for Sunday, September 29, from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Students and at least one parent need to attend this workshop. Confirmation sponsors are invited to attend as well. This is for all students in the second year ​program.

Please note: in order to participate in this program and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, the candidate must: Contact the parish office for an interview with Fr. Scott. Be out of high school and at least 18 years old. Be able to commit to 10 hours of catechesis before Confirmation and at least 3 hours after the reception of Confirmation. Attend the Diocesan Confirmation Retreat on Saturday, March 16, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and the Diocesan Confirmation Mass for Adults on Saturday, April 6, at 10 a.m.. Provide a copy of their Baptismal Certificate. If married, provide a copy of the Church's certificate of the Sacrament of Matrimony. Understand the person he/she has chose to be the sponsor fulfills all the requirements as stated in Canon Law.

All students preparing for Confirmation AND their parents are required to attend the second Confirmation workshop on Sunday, November 5, from 3:30-5 p.m. Sponsors are encouraged to attend as well. The final workshop will be on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

Students in the 8th grade or above who attended religious education classes last year and desire to be confirmed this spring, must attend the Confirmation Information Meeting WITH their parents on Sunday, August 27, at 10:15 a.m. in the church. May the Lord guide and guard our confirmandi this year as they prepare to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit this spring!

Bishop Zurek will come to confer the Sacrament of Confirmation on our young people on Sunday, April 23, at the 11:30 a.m. Mass! The confirmandi and their families are invited to a reception in the parish hall after Mass. Please pray for the confirmandi as they prepare to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit! (Confirmandi should meet in the Faith Formation class at 10:15 a.m. and parents and sponsors must be at the church no later than 10:45 a.m.)

If you are 17 years old or older, received the sacrament of First Communion, yet never Confirmed and are interested in being Confirmed, please contact Adrian Johnson in the parish office at [email protected] or 806-655-3302. The deadline is Friday, February 3.

All students preparing for Confirmation AND their parents are required to attend the fourth Confirmation workshop on Sunday, January 22, at 3:30 p.m. We will watch a video, discuss, and end at 4:30 p.m.

Our Winter/Confirmation Retreat is approaching quickly. If you registered your child but have not received an email with packing instructions and other details, please email Angela Asbill at [email protected].

All students preparing for Confirmation AND their parents are required to attend the third Confirmation Workshop on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 3 p.m. We will watch a video, then discuss, and end at 4:30 p.m. The final workshop will be on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 3 p.m.

All students preparing for Confirmation AND their parents must attend the second of four Confirmation workshops on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 3 p.m. Contact Adrian Johnson if you have any questions or concerns.

All students preparing for Confirmation AND their parents must attend the first of four Confirmation workshops on Sunday, November 13, from 3-4:30 p.m.

All students preparing for Confirmation this year must attend the youth retreat on January 27-29 at Ceta Canyon. This will serve as the Confirmation Retreat this year at St. Ann's. This will be a two night retreat and registration is now open at https://www.stannsofcanyon.org/youth.

All parents of students preparing for Confirmation this coming spring must attend the Confirmation Parent Meeting in the Adult Ed room: Wednesday, September 14 at 6:30 p.m. OR Wednesday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m. To sign up, email or call Adrian Johnson at [email protected] or 806.655.3302 by September 11. Parents, please watch the Chosen Parent Invitation video (link at the bottom of the page) before attending one of the above options for the Confirmation Parent Meeting. 

The Confirmation Retreat is scheduled for Saturday, March 26, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., ending with Saturday evening Mass. This retreat is mandatory for all students (8th grade and above) seeking the Sacrament of Confirmation. If anyone cannot make this retreat, please contact Adrian Johnson, DRE, as soon as possible.

The Confirmation Mass has been scheduled with Bishop Zurek's office for Saturday, May 21, at 5 p.m. Please pray for our Confirmandi as they approach the reception of this Sacrament.

If you are 17 or older and have received the sacrament of First Communion but were never confirmed, and are interested in being confirmed, please contact Adrian Johnson at the parish office at (806) 655-3302 or [email protected].

All parents of students who are preparing to receive First Communion or Confirmation are required to attend the Sacramental Preparation Meeting on Wednesday, October 6, at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will give an overview of the First Communion and Confirmation programs and all their requirements as well as supplemental materials for parents to go through at home with their students. The Confirmation Mass has been scheduled with the bishop's office for Saturday, May 15, at 2 p.m. Confirmandi and their sponsors must be at the church at 1 p.m. for a short practice. Please pray for our Confirmandi as they approach the reception of this sacrament!
