Due to Sunday's inclement weather, the St. Ann's Swim Night at the Canyon Aqua Park has been rescheduled for this Friday (August 4) from 7-9 p.m. The Aqua Park is all ours that night, so come join us. The Catholic Family Movie Night will not held on Friday because of the Swim Night.
We will gather for Mass at 6 p.m. in the church, followed by a baked spaghetti dinner. We will then head to the Activities Center at WTAMU for a night of bowling. Please have your parents pick you up at the Activities Center on campus at 9 p.m. See you there!
We will celebrate our parish feast day with Mass at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by a Mexican casserole dinner. After our meal, we will test our Bible skills with a series of "Sword Drills," followed by an opportunity to express our thanks to both Erica and Collin as they conclude their service as youth director and DRE and move on to other ministries. The Feast of Saints Joachim and Ann, Parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is this Wednesday, July 26, at 6 p.m. We will have a special celebration of the Holy Eucharist in the church. Please join us as we celebrate the life of Saints Ann and Joachim and ask for their continued intercession on behalf of our parish community!
We will gather as a parish family on Sunday evening (July 30) at 6 p.m. at Conner Park for some great food and lots of fun at the new waterpark! Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dessert or side dish (that will survive the heat!) to share with others. We have rented the waterpark for the evening. It will open at 8 p.m. and close at 10 p.m.
Join us for a fun evening at Sports World (located on the Canyon E-way, just south of the Cinemark Hollywood 16 movie theatre) at 6:30 p.m. If you need a ride, please be at the parish hall by 6:15 p.m. Pizza and drinks will be served at Sports World. We will return to the parish hall at about 9 p.m. See you there!
Our second and final movie night of the summer will be this Friday (August 4) at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall. The featured film will be "Boys Town," starring Spencer Tracy in his Academy Award winning performance and Fr. Edward Flanagan. The movie is based on a true story of a priest who is determined to provide a safe and caring home for underprivileged young men who have fallen into trouble with the law. The film features Mickey Rooney as one of the first "citizens" of Boys Town.
Students attending this year's Steubenville Conference in Springfield, Missouri, will meet in the church parking lot on Thursday morning at 6:30 a.m. They will return from the conference late on Sunday night. Please keep these students and their sponsors in your prayers as they travel to and from Springfield and attend this year's conference.
We will not have Mass this week, but will gather in the parish hall for a hotdog cookout, followed by some campfire activities, including s'mores. See you there!
