Got Jesus – will travel. As we put every aspect of our lives under the protection of God, our parish will host a blessing of cars, SUVs, trucks, RV’s, boats, motorcycles, etc. on the weekend of June 7-8 after each Mass. Please watch for signs that day and follow those instructions. Your vehicle will be blessed and you will receive a new parish sticker for your car window as well as a little something for the inside.

Our new Senior Enrichment program kicks off this Wednesday, June 4!! If you are 60 years or older, we invite you to join us from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Holy Family Room. This week we will begin with an introduction to the program, followed by a catered meal, door prizes and games. For questions please email Marla Gales at [email protected].

Current Nursery workers and those interested in becoming part of the Nursery Ministry need to be present at one of the following meetings: Sunday, May 18, at 10:15 a.m. OR Wednesday, May 21, at 6 p.m. Both meetings will be in the Sts. Joachim and Anne Room. Working the Nursery is a paid position. If you are interested. you must be at least 15 years old, pass a background check, and be willing to take the Safe Environment Training required by the Diocese. St. Helen's Outreach is at it again as they seed to meet a need that is afflicting too many in our society: the hunger for community. Starting on Wednesday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., St. Ann's will host a weekly Senior Enrichment Group for parishioners aged 60+ in our new Holy Family Room. These gatherings will include a meal, conversation, special-interest presentations, and more! Stay tuned for more information and plan to join us for these gatherings of fellowship.

The Ministry Fair will be in the parish hall the weekend of May 3 & 4, after all Masses. Divine Mercy Sunday is April 27,. This is a wonderful for conversion, inviting others to return to Church, and growing closer to Christ's merciful heart on this feast. Please note the following opportunities at St. Ann's to celebrate the feast and receive the plenary indulgence decreed by the Church: Extra Confession Hours: Saturday, April 26, and Saturday, May 3, from 3-4:30 p.m. Pray the Our Father, Apostles' Creed, and a special Hail Mary for the Pope after all the weekend Masses of April 26 & 27. Encouragement of all to practice works of mercy and charity, especially inviting inactive Catholics back to practice their faith. Please plan on joining us on Sunday, April 27, at 3 p.m. to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

Meet at St. Ann's for Stations of the Cross after the 5:30 Mass on Thursday, April 10. We will meet as a group at Texas Rose Steakhouse afterwards for dinner!

Fr. Scott has chosen Laudato Si, the Encyclical Letter on Care for our Common Home by Pope Francis for the next Spiritual Book Club read. We have limited copies in the Parish Office available for $8 each. The discussion date will be announced later.

On March 19, we celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph as the husband of the Virgin Mary. We invite you to join us for daily Mass at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, and then to visit the St. Joseph's table in the Narthex where you will find blessed holy cards, a Litany of St. Joseph handout, and a sweet treat for you to take.

Our guest speaker is Jason Boyett, an experienced professional writer whose work includes books, feature journalism, celebrity ghostwriting, high-end corporate copywriting, and the popular Religiverse newsletter. He is also heavily involved in the media landscape of Amarillo, Texas, his hometown, as host and creator of the Hey Amarillo podcast and cofounder of the award-winning, Amarillo-focused magazine, Brick & Elm. Join us on Wednesday, March 26, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to hear Jason speak on A Stroll Through the Apocalypse and the End of the World.

The Bach's Lunch series is (Bach) by popular demand! Bring a box lunch and some friends with you. The Bach's Lunches are a wonderful time for Lenten reflection and good music among friends. Held at various churches in Amarillo and Canyon on selected Fridays during Lent, each program will begin promptly at 12:05 p.m. with a 25-minute organ recital. Following the recital, if allowed, the host church will provide tea, coffee, and a place to eat. You'll have plenty of time to get (Bach) to work by 1 p.m. Friday, March 21 @ St. Ann's Catholic Church; Dr. Elizabeth McKee, Organist Johann Sebastian Bach's 340th birthday!

Small Groups are now forming! The new curriculum will the The Saints, a docudrama by Martin Scorsese. Small Groups meet in various locations. Sign up in the narthex or by calling Cindy Rohrbach. Death is a difficult topic to discuss for many people, but it is something we will all face one day. An intentional act of love for your family might be in the form of pre-planning your own funeral, or helping a loved one plan their funeral in advance. Details for the Vigil Service, Funeral Liturgy, and Rite of Committal could all be decided ahead of time and written down for when your loved ones need that information. We are offering an opportunity to do just that at our Funeral Planning Workshops. You will be given information to understand all the decisions needing to be made, and our Funeral Planning Team will be there to guide you through the process. There are two different times to choose from: Monday, January 13, from 2-3:30 p.m. or Tuesday, January 14, from 6:30-8 p.m. Please preregister so that we can have materials ready for you at the workshop by calling the Parish Office at (806) 655-3302 or by signing up in the narthex.
