Students in grades 5-12 will gather for Mass in the church this Wednesday evening at 6 p.m., followed by a meal of bacon mac and cheese with green beans. After our meal, all students will participate in a board game night! See you there!
Our next group session for all Confirmation candidates will be held on Sunday, January 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall. Please make sure you have completed modules 1-3 and are working on modules 4-6. Come with ideas for a group service project, which we will plan at this session.
Until further notice, we will not have Confessions on Saturday afternoons. At this week's parish council meeting, we will discuss some different options for alternative times and days. Thank you for your understanding.

After our meal, intermediate/junior high students will discuss the Word in our worship, while high school students will discuss the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity and how we are all members of God's family! After our meal, intermediate/junior high students will learn more about loving all of our neighbors, while high school students will break into their men's and women's discussion groups. All Czech Sausage Dinner committee chairs and assistant chairs will meet this Thursday (January 17) at 7 p.m. in meeting room C in the parish hall. Please make plans to attend.
If you are planning to have a son or daughter baptized in the next few months, or if you have been invited to serve as a godparent, please make plans to attend our next Baptism preparation class this Tuesday, January 8, at 7 p.m. in meeting room C in the parish hall. The next class will be in March.
There are some adoration spots open for anyone looking to sign up for an hour on Mondays. Please contact the parish office for available adoration times. Ideally, we need at least two parishioners each hour for adoration. If we are not able to cover these spots, we will have to revise our adoration schedule on Mondays.
The annual Respect Life Mass and Walk will be on Saturday, January 26, beginning with Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral, followed by a walk from St. Mary's Cathedral to Sanborn Park at 15th and Taylor.
This Saturday evening at 6:00, come join us for our first chili cookoff. There will be plenty of chili dishes and fixins from which to sample. Some great prizes will be awarded! The first prize will be a trophy and a $500 gift card to United. Second and third place winners will also receive United gift cards ($250 and $100). There will also be prizes offered for best fixin (side dish) and best presentation.
Join us this Friday (January 18) in the parish hall for our next Potluck Luncheon and Bingo for parishioners ages 60+. Please bring either a main dish or a substantive side dish. Desserts are also welcome. This is a great opportunity for food, fellowship, and lots of fun!
Classes for students and pre-K through 12th grade resume this Sunday (January 13) at 9:55 a.m. The adult class, however, will not be meeting this week.
